An immersive installation inspired by the writing of André Parrot, French archeologist, theologian and Director of the Louvre Museum in Paris from 1968-1972. In 1995, Parrot wrote a series of books documenting his discoveries of ancient worlds including analysis of the Temple of Solomon and the Temple of Taïnat. The artist has created an installation which invites viewers to travel through a space inspired by the Temple of Taïnat and consider the quote ‘It is not man that graces the place but the place man’, an inversion of a quote from Agesilaus II, King of Sparta.
